Client: Pixelpusher
Pixelpusher built a great microsite for OLG to allow people to build their own hypothetical dream world with the money they’d win from hitting the jackpot in their Lotto Max lottery. The site is a lot of fun to play with and received a big push from OLG in the form of traditional media purchases. 97% of the site’s front-end is built with Flash. Occasionally, you may see some XHTML content appear in an inline pop-up lightbox. I built those lightbox modules using XHTML, CSS and Prototype/script.aculo.us. Originally the lightboxes had a bit of fade-in/out effects on them, but they were slightly competing for CPU-usage with the Flash’s constantly animating backgrounds, so we killed the fades.
